One can only recommend food to go here, it was very tasty.

Beware, almost all good reviews relate to the economy, not the hotel. We have booked two comfort rooms and two standard rooms for four people. One for whom a comfort room was reserved got a double room. The other three got single rooms (there are only three single rooms in the guest house). However, the room of the person who had booked a more expensive comfort room was identical to the cheaper standard room. Something like that borders on fraud. Especially since the comfort room is supposedly larger than the standard room, but in fact both are completely identical. Only the price is different. No wonder that the single room is neither shown on the homepage nor on any other booking site that this inn offers. The note that there are a lot of mosquitoes due to the proximity to the Main is nice, but a mosquito net for € 2.50 from Aldi would be better. The ear plugs are also a nice touch. Soundproof windows would be the better solution. The guest house is located directly on the main road and restful sleep is not possible. At night, despite the outside temperature of 5 degrees and poor insulation, the heating is switched off (or at least lowered) so that you have to go to an ice-cold bathroom at 6 in the morning. Using the TV is also not possible without a stiff neck.

Also currently very good food to pick up, recommendable!

There is delicious Franconian cuisine here. We always like to come back to indulge in culinary delights.

Vegetarian selection very limited. Vegan selection not available. As a German restaurant, one could also offer a selection that does not require a lot of effort in the kitchen. e.g. Salad, antipasti vegetables, fried dumplings with lettuce

Hello, I would like a review of this restaurant Schwarzes Roß. Is very good from the service to the food, everything is perfect, highly recommended.

Obsessed with all the food they offer. Tried quiet some items on the menu and was never disappointed. The sauces are all to die for. My favorite is the deer Gulasch, Sauerbraten, Rinderbäckchen in Rotweinsauce and the fried carp (when in season). Great portions size. Really tasty and fresh side salad. Service is always super nice! Don’t miss this amazing gem of a restaurant.

With a good 20 people registered one day in advance and we could all order from the menu. In addition to the normal menu, there was also a very extensive daily menu with seasonal specialties. The children could even choose a sauce with loos or spaetzle ... None of the 20 people had anything to complain about or all 20 people got a wonderful meal and all were very well catered for. Lovely again...

The food was delicious. Service very friendly and courteous. Table must be reserved. That also says a lot.

Very good regional cuisine. The Schäufele is particularly recommended. Our stay happened during the very warm weeks in August 2020 and was unfortunately rather moderate. There were signs in the rooms that we do not recommend opening the windows, as there are a lot of mosquitoes due to the proximity to the river Main. Fly screens were not available. Why??? In addition, there was a pack of ear plugs on each bedside table without comment. The dissolution took place during the night. The inn is about 20 m from the church bell, which is not turned off at night and strikes every hour on the hour. We practically didn't sleep at all! Our recommendation: Eat and drink well, never stay again

Very friendly staff, nice beer garden and delicious food. Modern and functional bathroom. In the guest house, unfortunately, no chair in the room and little storage space. Balcony not very attractive. Overall, however, recommendable.

The greeting couldn't have been more unfriendly. If you don't like guests, it might help to remove the advertising on the bike path. Surely we could have read the small print at the entrance and then knew that we would be seated. But with the required face mask and a polite question about free places, it should also be possible to answer politely. I will not visit this restaurant again.

The choice of dishes is just great. The dishes are hot on the table. The taste is excellent in a good portion size. Vegetarians will also find some delicacies. It also tastes good, for example. a Franconian bottle. The service staff are friendly, quick and happy to fulfill special requests. The Münster Schwarzach Abbey is a nearby excursion destination. The A3 Autobahn exit Schwarzach is just a few minutes' drive away.

It was great but we were put outside and there were 8 wasps. But their schnitzels are great

Food is delicious. Nice ambience. Nice service. Price structure a little higher than normal. Small beer garden in the paved inner courtyard is also accessible from the street.

I can only recommend it after 4 weeks. Was here for 4 weeks on a course and also stayed here. The room is not big but cozy, friendly and has everything you could want. It is also properly prepared and cleaned every day, which I was very amazed by. Was eating once a week in the adjacent inn and the food was always delicious. The waiting time was minimal and the staff was always friendly. The price / performance ratio definitely fits!

Mediocre food and service plus a no go: sex toys on the way to the restrooms at kids' reach.

Been here to stay overnight and eat. Both were equally enjoyable experiences. Service is not the fastest but makes that up with friendliness. Try the "Hubertustopf" and "Schlehenschnaps" afterwards because the first is a rather large meal :)
